Frequently Asked Questions

Are Your Ingredients Easily Purchased?

Yes. We do our best to use ingredients that can be purchased easily by our customers, allowing you to recreate your dog’s favorite recipes while waiting for the new recipe/ingredients coming the next month.

How Do We Select The Rescue or Shelter?

At the present time, we are a small business just starting up. It is important for us to be able to be present at the time of the donation to take photos to verify the donation to you, our subscribers. Due to this, we will be donating locally in Wisconsin to verified rescues and shelters. We are prepared, as we grow, to begin donating across the country.

Where Do You Purchase The Items You Donate?

We will attempt to purchase food and other items locally to save potential shipping costs and decrease packaging materials. However, if we find significantly better prices online, we will purchase from an online vendor.

How Much Is Shipping?

Our baking box prices include shipping to make things easy.

Our other product shipping is based on shipping weight.

What Brand of Dog Food Do We Purchase?

In order to respect each individual rescue and shelter’s desires and the needs of the dogs at the shelters, we will consult the shelter directly to ensure we are purchasing the brand/type of food the shelter is in need of at the time of the purchase.

What Type of Ingredients Are In Your Boxes?

All ingredients in our baking kits are standard human-grade baking products that are commonly viewed as safe for dogs.

Does every box contain the same recipe/ingredients?

Each recipe is unique. This means you can order multiple of the same box if your dog has a favorite, or try out multiple recipes with different boxes.

What do you donate?

We research each shelter to obtain the list of items the shelter is most in need of at the time of donation. In most cases, this is dog food but may also be cleaning supplies or specialty treats.

What if I do not agree with an ingredient being safe for my dog?

While we work hard to use only veterinarian-approved human-grade ingredients, we are aware that each individual may have a different opinion of what is best for their dog. We respect this and ask that you use your best judgement and consult with your veterinarian if you are concerned about any ingredients in our kits.
